11/9 – Club meeting Program: Dave Hillaird on modern nutrition/diet and YAW

11/17 – 11/19 Tournament Of Champions at the PGA National Resort & Spa located in Palm Beach Gardens, FL

For our club meeting we will not only have Dave Hillaird on modern nutrition and diet but we will also be recognizing Nick Kucharski.  Nick is being honored for YAW [Youth Appreciation Week].   Nick is a member of the Booker High School Wind ensemble and they will be marching at Carnegie Hall from March 25-29 2007 [one of only 5 high school bands invited to do this.]  Congratulation Nick or as they say in World Of Warcraft “gratz Nick”.

There will be a Holiday party on December 14^th.  Please hold this date open on your calendar as we work out the details we will pass them along to you.  We hope everybody that can attend will be there to join in the fellowship.

The Board of Directors has approved a website for the club.  Once again we will be providing further details on this project as they become available.  And for those of you that are getting your bulletins by email you will be able to click a link to our webstite right from your bulletin.

There will be a Suncoast Optimist Foundation Board meeting on November 30 at 7 PM at Popi’s restaurant in Ellenton.

Carole Proffitt has been working hard on getting a CCDHH [Communication Contest for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing].  Once again as we get more details on this project we will be passing them along to the members.

We have approved a $250 sponsorship for Manatee Wrestling.  Russ and Sandy Hightower have a real good friend on the team and we wish them the best of luck in competitions.

We had a pleasant day for Jazz At The Ranch.  We want to thank everyone who showed up and helped out:  Sandy Hightower, Rose Johnson, Lou Schrock, Kelly Ramon, Shanna Walker, Brad Harris, Joe Ramon, Beth Ramon, Chris Piner and Janet Jackson thanks everyone for all of your help.  We will be updating you with how the event turned out as the details become available.
